Niaz Residence

Suncadia, Washington

This new single-family residence is located in the Suncadia community of Cle Elum Washington. The design seamlessly merges a contemporary mountain modern aesthetic with classic Suncadia elements, aiming to provide a unified and responsive solution that aligns with the site and client objectives.

Central to the design process was the strategic placement of the majority of the living spaces facing the private nature preserve located at the rear of the home. This approach enhances the connection to nature while ensuring privacy from neighboring properties. The exterior design is deliberately understated to harmonize with the natural surroundings.

The covered deck is conceived as a versatile four-season room equipped with heaters, offering a comfortable space year-round. Additionally, the pool deck and hot tub area provide panoramic views of the tree-lined site and the residence itself.

Internally, the interiors are designed around family gatherings and celebrations, with a focus on creating memorable experiences. The large fireplace and an oversized dining table anchor the interior space, fostering a welcoming and communal atmosphere.
