Southern Star Residence

Suncadia, Washington

The site is a low sloped, wooded lot with commanding views of the golf course hole 14 and the lake which buffers the left side of the hole. With a long and thin lot the goal of the site was to retain as many trees as possible while providing privacy from adjacent lots. This residence has been designed as a refuge from city life for the clients where their large family can come and relax and enjoy all that Suncadia has to offer. With this the massing of the home has been broken up into multiple elements to help reduce scale, offer quiet moments of reflection and engage with the landscape and surrounding views while providing the program requirements the clients requested.
